Sarnath The Historical Destination
Sarnath the Historical Destination is famous for its History and is a Historical place. Located 13km away from Varanasi is a beautiful and historical place which is not to missed. I only had 1:30 hours to explore Sarnath as I had to catch a train to Lucknow my next destination. Trust me, you need at least 6 hours to explore Sarnath.
I went to only 2 places in Sarnath:
1. Thai Temple
A beautiful Statue of Lord Buddha , more than 80 feet tall , is an important land mark of this Temple. Life and Teachings of Buddha are well explained at the bottom of this statue. The Temple has prayer rooms where a large number of Thai and other pilgrims offer prayers. It is really a peaceful place to be.
2. Archaeological Museum
No camera, cellphones or any gadgets allowed here. But here is a photo from the outer gate.

Places I missed:
There are a lot of places which I missed but you shouldn't. I'm definitely going there again to explore what I left.
1. Mulagandha Kuti Vihar, Sarnath
2. Archaeological and Excavation Area
3. Dhammek Stupa
4. Ashoka Pillar
5. Chaukhandi Stupa
6. Tibetan Temple
7. Ramnagar Fort
So can clearly see how much I've missed and why should I revisit.
This place is not to be missed if you love Historical places and Gautam Buddha has stayed there for some time so it is a pilgrimage place for His followers.
